I specialise in culture and have written extensively about music, travel, lifestyle and business for publications including the Guardian, Sunday Independent, Marie Claire, Harrods Magazine, Arise and Mixmag. I've launched and edited magazines and websites for clients including
Land Rover, Co-operative Travel, Hamptons International and Norwich Union, and have written marketing, advertorial and editorial content for companies like BT and Royal Mail. I am an expert in brand strategy, tone of voice, writing for SEO and social media. I am also associate editor of Shook, the taste-making music and culture magazine, and recently edited my first book, China’s Creative Voice, which is branding agency HuntHaggarty’s study of Chinese youth culture.

I love to DJ, take photographs, am learning to play the drums and like nothing better than getting on a plane and going somewhere far away. I spent 12 years in South Africa and revel in having one foot in each hemisphere.

Check out my blog to see what I've been up to.

Need some words?

I'm a real ideas person so if you need inspiration, I'd be happy to help.

Whether it’s writing features, books, press releases, website copy, pitch documents or even short stories, I'm versatile and can switch easily between different styles to get the tone of voice just right.

I can turn my hand to a variety of topics and like nothing better than teasing out stories with a nice cultural twist and turning challenging topics into interesting and compelling copy.
