Helene Dancer is a freelance writer, journalist, video producer and director who specialises in travel, arts and culture.
In her work, she has told the story of a Tunisian artist who's fighting extremists with graffiti, met a mother who lost two daughters to ISIS, travelled deep into Missouri to meet a man creating a new blueprint for civilization, and interviewed former South African president FW de Klerk about how to make the world a better place.
Helene has produced for the BBC's The Travel Show, produced and directed segments for a Lonely Planet video project, and written for the Guardian, Vice, Lonely Planet Traveller magazine and Mixmag. Helene has also created award-winning editorial content for brands such as Audi, Land Rover, Mazda, Nike, Harrods and WilkinsonEyre Architects.
This has included devising content strategies, pitching ideas, commissioning and writing targeted copy, launching and editing magazines, websites and apps, and shooting, producing, directing and presenting video content.
Helene lives in London but spent 12 years in South Africa, which she visits as often as she can.
